Job Summary
Develops and executes Military recruiting strategies that align with business priorities to hire best in class talent while building a strong talent pipeline. Uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of training and experience to develop effective Military sourcing and recruitment plans, while providing guidance, mentorship, and advice to other members of the Talent Acquisition team. Additionally, this position will be responsible for streamlining processes and creating efficiencies associated with recruiting to fill roles within the CSX operational departments.
Hybrid Work Opportunity - This role will allow for some remote work, as well as for reporting to the Jacksonville headquarters building. Relocation assistance is available.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
- Engage with hiring managers and business leaders to discuss needs, plan a strategy, and provide guidance in the full life-cycle recruiting process.
- Responsible for managing requisitions for both operational and non-operational departments
- Develop internal and external talent pipelines for Military candidates.
- Manage vendors and national organizations to negotiate agreements and achieve recruiting hiring goals.
- Assist Talent Management with the programs and initiatives to attrac and promote military hiring for the organization by implementing non-traditional sourcing and recruiting methods.
- Develop network of community and industry contacts for sourcing and retention purposes.
- Identify and manage career sourcing events that help attract military talent, as well as enhances our brand as an employer of choice. Support and provide direction on the planning, logistics prep and execution of events.
- Engage with senior leadership to identify, develop, advance, and retain talent by leveraging and supporting inclusion/affinity groups. internal partnerships, and business resource groups
- Utilize data and analytics to inform and optimize strategy, influence business partners and senior leaders, and understand market trends to inform decisions
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 8 or more years of experience in Recruiting or Staffing
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
- 5 or more years of experience in Recruiting or Staffing. PHR (Professional in Human Resources) Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
- Previous military recruiting experience preferred
