Travel Department: Xray/CT Tech *Certifications Required: ARRT, BLS* Traveler's will be working in both CT and Xray areas and must be competent in both areas. - How many scanners/rooms does this department have?: 1- portable and a room scanner - Will they have to float/cover any other areas?: Yes: C arm for surgery, dexas, ER, MS, outpatient- clinic comes to them, post op no off site - Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: all x-rays: surgical, ortho, ER, no flouro; General CT's, CTA - Experience or 'Must have' skills: MUST do both x-ray/ and CT including CTA, and IV starts. Ok with first time travelers - Average # of scans/studies per day: 10 for Xray, 5 for CT - What EMR &/or PACS ?: Evident EMR, PACS - AMIC, Phillips PACS - Department Specific Equipment: Shamatzu in Xray, GE for CT - Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech?: Chellie Autrey - Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)?: No - Radiologist in-house 24/7?: No-Off Site, send information to radiologist- available any time. Have 1-800 number if needed for questions - Do they have to start IV's?: Yes, have some outpatient starts - Shifts & Scheduling: 4 - 10 hour days plus on call hours, 630,7 or 730 start depending Leave at 5, 530, 6 - Weekday Requirements: Usually 1 night/ week: from 6p-630a - Weekend Requirements: On call: 1-2 weekends per Month (try to spread out call shifts) Friday 6p - 630a Monday - Holiday Requirements: 1 holiday required - Call or Standby requirement? Response time?: They have 15 minutes to clock in for trauma and 30 minutes to clock in for everything else - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided?: None - any color - Department specific orientation: Yes- some paperwork day 1 most of that 2-3 hours of that in the unit, train during the first week *Must note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Kimball Health Services.* Entered on: 11/18/2024
