Department Overview The
Treasury department
is responsible for achieving Walker & Dunlop's financial goals by managing capital, cash flow, funding, and investments, while implementing internal controls to serve our clients effectively.
The Impact You Will Have The Assistant Treasurer will manage operations and strategy, focusing on cash flow optimization, risk management, and stakeholder relationships to support company growth and treasury efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Risk:
Develop investment and borrowing strategies, manage investment portfolios, oversee debt facilities, and mitigate financial risks.
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead the Treasury team, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Relationship Management:
Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, banks, and agencies; negotiate credit agreements.
Cash Management:
Oversee cash functions, forecasts, liquidity, and disbursement processes.
Treasury Operations & Policy Development:
Collaborate on technology solutions, establish policies, and ensure compliance.
Reporting & Communication:
Prepare reports, analyze variances, and communicate with stakeholders.
Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related; CFA, MBA preferred.
7+ years in Treasury/Finance, with 3+ in leadership.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Expertise in cash management, risk, banking relationships, and treasury systems.
Leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and analytical skills.
Salary & Benefits Base salary: $145,000 - $175,000 + discretionary bonus. Other benefits include health, retirement, paid leave, and development opportunities.
