Advances in surgery, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology have helped many with severe congenital heart disease live into adulthood. The team of cardiologists specializes in diagnosing and treating these conditions, collaborating with healthcare professionals trained in adult congenital heart disease for the best care.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $100.48 - $130.31 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years related nurse practitioner experience
- Two (2) years ambulatory cardiology experience or combination of ambulatory and inpatient experience
- Two (2) years nurse practitioner experience in related ICU ACHD heart and vascular services (ie: ACHD, valve and structural heart, cardiac surgery)
- Flexibility to orient and work in multiple clinic locations and UCSF campuses
- Flexibility to work with various schedules as required
- California driver's license (CDL) if required for position.
- Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work.
- Accepted Certifications for this position: ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC
- Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California.
- Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner.
- Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice. (It is the responsibility of the employee to transfer their DEA license to their new place of employment if from out of state, via online DEA portal and provide evidence of transfer).
- Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate for pediatric environments.
- Current AHA BLS.
- Current AHA ACLS.
- State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice.
- Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1.
UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
