Description
Full-time Faculty position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care Division at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester, New York, with a community hospital focus.
The University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), a leading academic institution, seeks outstanding candidates to join the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. The University of Rochester is a national leader in clinical care and research and maintains a strong and active program in faculty development. The candidate should be interested in community-based care affiliated with an academic center. The position involves a negotiable mix of inpatient care in on a pulmonary consult service and in a state-of-the art mixed ICU, and outpatient care in a general pulmonary clinic, primarily at a hospital consistently named to Becker Hospital Review’s Top 150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare. We seek individuals with an M.D. or equivalent, and a passion for academic medicine in a community setting who are board eligible or board certified in Pulmonary Diseases with or without Critical Care Medicine who have completed a three-year fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine to join our diverse and collegial faculty group.
Qualifications
M.D. Degree or equivalent
Must obtain a New York State Medical License prior to start date
Eligible for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry
Must meet all credentialing requirements
Eligible for Board Certification in Pulmonary Diseases with or without Critical Care Medicine
Post offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required
Compliance with University and New York State health requirements

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
