We are looking for a visionary VP of Engineering to lead our engineering team through the next phase of growth. This role is critical to shaping our technical roadmap, nurturing our culture, and guiding innovation, particularly around AI, as we scale.
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a highly talented team, influence product direction, and help Elate define what the future of Strategy Execution looks like.

Lead the Engineering Department:
Build, inspire, and lead a high-performing engineering team. Ensure strong execution, clear career growth paths, and a healthy culture. Own the Technical Vision:
Drive architecture decisions, infrastructure strategy, and system design. Balance immediate execution needs with long-term scalability and performance. Advance the Product Strategy:
Partner closely with Product to define and deliver the product roadmap and AI strategy. Move Fast : We build, ship, and get feedback as quickly as we can to give our customers an incredible experience with the product. Champion a culture of iteration and feedback. Communicate Across Functions:
Collaborate with all departments to represent Engineering to the whole company and be the voice of Engineering in leadership team meetings. Promote Operational Excellence:
Optimize engineering processes (CI/CD, testing, deployment), bug processes, technical documentation, and software quality. What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate has: 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years leading engineering teams. Proven success scaling engineering orgs and systems at a high-growth SaaS company, paired with a strong understanding of business strategy, organizational dynamics, and the change management involved to do this effectively. Hands-on experience with modern software engineering, AI/ML, and data architecture. Experience working with LLM-powered applications is a strong plus. Strong foundation in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and service-oriented architecture. Experience building or supporting cross-functional teams and processes.
