Responsible for the overall operational and strategic direction, administration, and coordination of all activities within The Strat Security Department.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Responsible for the hiring, training, developing, promoting, measuring performance, and disciplining of leadership staff in the Strat Security Department Produces and monitors short and long-term department strategies accompanied with annual operating or capital budgets required to accomplish goals and objectives Develops and implements staffing plans, training policies and procedures designed to enhance departmental operations and guest service standards Makes recommendations regarding departmental internal controls, risk assessment and management, and methods of monitoring compliance Maintains working knowledge of laws and regulations (and changes in such) impacting the company’s line of business and communicates this information to the appropriate parties, as required Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information Leads the security organization for the company, working with company leadership, to meet department objectives Monitors all activities within the company, to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and controls of the company, including but not limited to, OSHA and Nevada Gaming Control Board are enforced throughout the property Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in hospitality security, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience Social skills as demonstrated by the ability to deal with guests, patrons, and team members, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to deescalate concerns, collect accurate information, and resolve problems Knowledge of the principles and practices of applicable state statutes, codes and regulations including operation and security requirements Excellent communication and leadership skills Must possess thorough knowledge of Gaming Minimum Internal Casino Standards, local jurisdictional gaming laws, and Nevada Revised Statutes Ability to organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision/multiple interruptions, exercise judgment, and implement control over the performance of subordinates. Working current knowledge of the various security systems and equipment found on a casino floor Ability to maintain composure and management ability during crisis Efficient using computers, including but not limited to Word and Excel Must be at least 21 years old High school diploma or equivalent required College degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred Proven experience providing high level of guest service Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements
Uses a two-way radio or other communication devices in the course of work Ability to successfully perform in a timely manner all the physical movements associated with situations that may present to Security personnel, including movements necessary to successfully complete company-assigned training courses applicable to the essential duties of the position Occasionally push/pull up to 75 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. above head Occasionally squat, kneel, and sit Occasionally run throughout assigned working zone as situations dictate Frequently walk, climb stairs, reach, bend, and twist Constant use of hearing and vision, walk, stand, distinguish between shades of color
