The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with an aptitude for solving unstructured problems. They are great at extracting data from various sources to design, construct, and execute complex analyses to generate data and insights. They are exceptionally analytical with good oral and written communication skills that allow them to simplify complex insights and findings and influence others with their recommendations.
Key job responsibilities • Lead complex data analysis projects to support external seller impact messaging • Partner with Finance, Public Policy, PR, and Creative teams to develop data-driven narratives • Design and implement scalable reporting solutions using SQL, Excel, and visualization tools • Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to access and analyze diverse data sources • Translate complex analyses into actionable insights and clear recommendations • Create and maintain dashboards to monitor key seller success metrics
A day in the life • Develop compelling, data-driven narratives that accurately represent seller success • Build scalable, automated solutions for ongoing seller impact analysis • Establish strong partnerships across teams to enable efficient data access and collaboration • Deliver insights that drive positive public perception of Amazon's partnership with independent sellers • Fulfill adhoc data and insights requests from Policy and PR teams - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience - Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights - Experience with Excel - Experience with SQL - Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders - Bachelor's degree in finance, data analytics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or related technical or quantitative field- Experience using BI Tools (Tableau, OBIEE, Business Objects, Cognos, MicroStrategy) - E-commerce industry experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
