Gouverneur offers enhanced, cutting edge healthcare services in a state-of-the-art space. It provides 24-hour care for individuals in need of sub-acute care, long-term care or hospice care which include services like physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and vocational rehabilitation. Gouverneur is an academic affiliate of NYU School of Medicine and Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose of Position :
Under supervision, performs routine security inspections of buildings and grounds to protect against trespassers and property damage and/or loss. Performs related work as required.
Examples of Typical Tasks : 1. Makes periodic inspections tours throughout buildings and grounds to examine doors, windows, gates, locks and equipment. 2. Checks for trespassers, fires, leaks from water or steam lines, or any other causes which might result in property damage and/or loss. 3. Discourages loitering, prevents trespassing and maintains order. 4. Answers telephones and doorbells. 5. In emergencies, operates elevators. 6. May operate heating equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
A valid New York State Security Guard registration card issued by the Department of State; and Satisfactory completion of a 16-hour On-the-Job Training (OJT) course within 90 days of employment
