Overview
The Packaging, Visual Inspection, and Assembly Machine Operator position in a highly engineered, precision manufacturing environment. Responsible for the setup, operation and tending to more than one type of machine. This position is also responsible for contributing to the improvement of productivity, safety, quality, and the teamwork environment of Sherex.

~ Troubleshoot, repair, set up and operate automated vision inspection machines, assembly machines, wax/oil application equipment, baggers and locking /closing machines to ensure product conformance and maximize productivity.
Troubleshoot, repair, set up and operate packaging and bagging machines as well as within a system integrated to vision inspection machine.
Verbal and written communication skills are essential such as emails, handwritten notes, voice mail, procedures. Communicates to operators on all shifts.
Provide training and support to operators working within the area.
Handle software upgrades and modifications to machines as well as making software adjustments and adding parts to the machines.
Handle majority of the preventive maintenance to vision inspection machines, assembly machines and bagging equipment.
Maintain spare part inventory.
Utilize micrometer, caliper and optical comparator to verify product and product inspection.
Utilizes computer program to view product print.
Works safely in all aspects of operations and in all areas of responsibility including wearing proper PPE.
Safely maintain the “Packaging Area” to ensure product going out to customers or suppliers in correct packaging and work order.
Safely operate wax/oil application equipment to meet process procedures and requirement.
Pull product from stocking shelf and prepare to ship.
Perform inspection and test for assembly and wax/oil application.
Works with minimal supervision to independently perform the job.
Possess the ability to read and interpret measuring equipment such as gauges, blueprints, micrometers, calipers, depth, and dimensional micrometers.
Mechanically inclined and possess basic mechanical aptitude and skills.
Requires understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Requires the understanding and compliance of environmental, health and safety regulations of the operation and organization.
