This role requires the candidate to be based in our New York office and involves the distribution of Marathon’s offerings through Family Wealth relationships, primarily RIAs and Multi-Family Offices (MFO). The individual will serve clients on the East Coast from our New York office. Responsibilities
Build consultative relationships and grow market share with RIAs and MFOs on the East Coast, and to a lesser extent, Financial Advisors in the Private Bank and Wirehouse community. Collaborate with the Head of Platforms & Wealth, Client Solutions team, and senior management to develop relationships that drive sales and AUM growth across various funds. Conduct meetings, presentations, and client events, which involve travel. Provide high-quality product knowledge and a consultative sales approach, guiding the implementation of sales to grow assets. Articulate the firm’s investment philosophy and solutions across public and private credit. Understand and communicate capital markets, complex product structures, and competitor products. Offer after-sales support to keep LPs informed on their investments. Maintain and oversee CRM system (Salesforce) interactions and notes. Represent the firm at regional and national conferences and conference calls. Qualifications
Must work in person at our New York office. 8+ years’ experience in external sales aligned with this role. Experience in the family wealth industry with established relationships in RIA & MFO channels in the East Coast region. Understanding of high-net-worth and intermediary investors, with ability to drive sales processes and collaborate internally. Strong financial markets knowledge, especially private/public credit strategies. Proven success in developing and managing relationships within the intermediary and high-net-worth communities. Knowledge of private wealth marketing and operational elements. Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to prioritize and manage a busy schedule independently or collaboratively. Academic credentials from a top-tier institution; MBA, CFA, or CAIA preferred. Travel required. The salary range for this Director role is $200,000 to $225,000 base, excluding bonuses and benefits, adjusted based on experience and other factors.
