Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (OT and occasional weekends may be required)
Position Overview System One is currently seeking a
Workforce Planning and Staffing Recruiter I
to support one of our major client projects in Pasadena, TX. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and onboarding candidates to meet project-specific workforce needs. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Source, screen, and conduct initial interviews with potential candidates.
Coordinate onsite interviews with hiring managers and extend contingent offers aligned with legal and project requirements.
Manage and maintain employment requisitions, including review, edits, and approvals.
Utilize tracking systems and software tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, databases) to monitor hiring progress and provide reporting.
Build and update job descriptions based on project needs and scope of work.
Lead employee re-deployment initiatives by proactively communicating with staff nearing assignment completion.
Facilitate all administrative hiring activities, including background checks, drug and health screenings, I-9 and E-Verify compliance, and employment documentation.
Ensure all onboarding processes meet company, client, and legal standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent required.
4+ years of experience in recruiting, staffing, or HR administration.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to learn and navigate applicant tracking systems (ATS) quickly.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build relationships across teams.
Understanding of employment laws and compliance practices.
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
