Overview
Directs the administration of the department including staff management, budgeting, performance monitoring, reporting, planning and priority setting. Develops and maintains effective and productive relationships with senior management, departments, staff, and vendors. Plans, directs, and coordinates the selection, purchase, installation, and repair of desktop, server, network, and telecom systems for all County departments. Develops and implements long range strategic plans to address the evolving informational processing needs of the county and its customer needs. Evaluates new technologies for possible integration into County function, makes recommendations and budget proposals to meet those needs. Plans, develops, establishes, and enforces County technology standards, policies and procedures. Makes presentations to the Board of Supervisors, community groups and professional associations. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems or closely related field. Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in IT management, staff development, organizational budgeting, personnel management, and/or related field(s). An equivalent combination of directly related work experience and education may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-per-year basis. Additional Requirements: Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license. EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
