Overview DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a
SME Software Developer, Application (Microsoft Azure)
to join our team on an upcoming contract supporting the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) Information Systems Division (ISD) in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The USCG ALC ISD provides development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) IT support for products and services for the Coast Guard Information Officer (CIO), Commandant, and Coast Guard Cyber Command through a geographically dispersed workforce including military, civilians, and contractors, supporting USCG missions and requirements in a highly interconnected environment with increased reliance on data, networks, and emerging technologies such as AI and commercial space systems.
Position is on-site with off-site capabilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop, modify, test, troubleshoot, and document computer applications software or utilities.
Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
Design and customize software for operational efficiency.
Analyze and design databases, either individually or as part of a team.
Design specifications for functional business applications across various domains.
Participate in all phases of software engineering, including design, analysis, and modeling.
Perform full lifecycle application development and system assessments.
Define system architecture, hardware limitations, and new concepts for software development.
Conduct requirements gathering, research emerging technologies, and develop diagrams and logic flows.
Translate designs into software, test, debug, and refine applications.
Document software and provide technical direction to team members.
Design, implement, and test database systems, and customize applications as needed.
Support integration testing and troubleshoot software/system issues.
Engage with clients to analyze needs and provide support, including presentations.
Lead tasks or teams, ensuring standards and deadlines are met.
Maintain knowledge of current hardware/software and participate in special projects.
Qualifications
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, IT, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent IT certification (6 years experience = 3 years education).
At least 6 years of experience in software requirements, design, coding, testing, and documentation.
Minimum 6 years of experience in Windows Azure development, including Active Directory, Azure AD, and cloud services.
Experience with Agile DevSecOps methodologies, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket or similar tools.
