Opportunity Overview: iSphere is seeking an experienced
Maintenance Material Coordinator
for a long-term engagement supporting maintenance execution in a large-scale industrial production environment. This high-impact role serves as the central liaison between
maintenance, operations, procurement, and warehousing -ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support critical worklist and planned maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Coordination: Act as the key point of contact between Maintenance and Supply Chain for all material needs Manage procurement requests through
SAP
and ensure timely availability of materials for scheduled and reactive work Support procurement of tools, repair parts, standing order components, and red tag/hot shot items Coordinate with vendors, warehouse, buyers, and expediters to track, receive, and stage materials Oversee
PCard purchasing , receipt tracking, and documentation Maintain open communication with
Operations Maintenance Coordinators , Engineers, Planners, and Schedulers Verify and tag staged materials for field use and defined drop points Clear materials from quarantine and ensure accurate stocking Coordinate Repair & Return (R&R) processes, including vendor communication and shop visits Inventory Optimization & Process Improvement:
Clean up and sustain non-stock warehouse areas; optimize open bin inventory Identify patterns in material usage and recommend updates to BOMs and material codes Interface with GP Materials Team for data analysis and continuous improvement Return surplus materials to stock or vendors via coordination with Returns Coordinator Share learnings and support BOM enhancements and planning accuracy Assist in after-hours purchasing and urgent parts acquisition as needed Administrative & Reporting Duties:
Develop and deliver
daily material availability reports
for planned and emergency needs Lead touchpoint meetings with warehouse and supply chain teams Expedite materials for frontline support as required Ensure compliance with internal business control guidelines Support ongoing process improvements across procurement and warehousing functions Qualifications & Required Experience:
10+ years of experience in a
large production facility
(Oil, Gas, Chemical, or related industrial sector) Strong working knowledge of
SAP (Purchase-to-Pay, Maintenance Planning modules) Familiarity with
Prometheus, P6 , and maintenance planning/scheduling systems Excellent understanding of
Maintenance and Reliability
practices 3-5 years validated
craft experience
(Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation) preferred Prior experience in maintenance leadership, OMC, PMC, or supervisory roles Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across maintenance and supply chain functions Effective multitasking and prioritization in fast-paced environments High proficiency in computer systems and data analysis tools Why Join iSphere?
