Senior COBOL Developer
with strong expertise in IBM Z Series mainframe systems and AS400 platforms. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in COBOL programming and a deep understanding of mainframe development tools and modernization techniques. This role is crucial in supporting legacy systems while exploring transformation opportunities. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain COBOL-based applications on IBM mainframes. Analyze existing legacy systems and participate in modernization initiatives. Debug and troubleshoot mainframe programs to ensure quality and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions. Write and maintain documentation of system procedures and programs. Skills COBOL IBM Z Series (z/OS, TSO/ISPF, JCL, VSAM) DB2, IMS, SQL Rehosting, Replatforming, Refactoring Unit testing and debugging of COBOL programs CICS, MQ Series JCL, REXX Mainframe compilers, debugging tools, job schedulers Git or equivalent API/Web services with mainframe apps Seniority level
