Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
ProfessionLX specializes in professional services where we engage our employees to empower them to excel for our customers. We are currently seeking part-time American Sign Language Translator candidates to join our team in support of the US Navy in US Naval Hospital, Guam. This position will assist in helping deaf or hearing impaired individuals to understand what is being said in a variety of situations. Successful candidates will possess the skills and experience to effectively sign spoken communications to the target audience.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Assist in helping deaf or hearing impaired individuals to understand what is being said in a variety of situations.
- Interpreter services may be needed during office meetings, training sessions, or mass briefings.
Requirements
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Must understand the subject matter so he or she can accurately translate what is being spoken into sign language.
YOUR EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Formal training in ASL interpretation and translation is preferred.
