Description: The Azusa Pacific University Department of Clinical Psychology invites applications for a term-tenure track position in our APA-accredited PsyD Program in Clinical Psychology beginning in August of 2025. The position is open to applicants with expertise/experience and capacity to teach in our sequence of courses on research design and methodology; psychological assessment (including neuropsychological assessment), psychobiology, cognitive and affective bases of behavior. The successful applicant must demonstrate commitment to doctoral teaching, scholarship and research, and dissertation research mentoring. A track record of publication is preferred as is a developed plan to maintain and expand scholarship. Candidates at the Full or Associate Professor Rank are expected to have well developed research agendas, whereas those at the Assistant Professor rank should have ideas about future research that would contribute to the department and university. In addition to teaching and scholarship, candidates who are committed to service within the institution, profession and community are preferred. The Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology at Azusa Pacific University (APU PsyD) prepares students for the practice of health service psychology. The program adheres to a practitioner-scholar model of training and requires the completion of a rigorous, graded sequence of courses in the science and practice of psychology; three years of clinical training and successful demonstration of clinical ability on a Clinical Competency Examination; completion of a clinical dissertation; and completion of a doctoral internship. The program has three areas of special emphasis: systems thinking, diversity and justice, and the integration of faith/spirituality into practice. Specialization: Area of specialization in clinical psychology with specialization in research design and methodology; psychological assessment, including neuropsychological assessment; biological bases of behavior; cognitive aspects of behavior; and/or affective bases of behavior. Responsibilities: Teaching, research/scholarship, dissertation mentoring, clinical and professional consultation. Level: Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Qualifications: PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology or a closely related field. Experience: Excellence in teaching in higher education. A strong Christian commitment. Evidence of scholarly research and publications in the field of psychology are expected. Workload: Full-time faculty position. Teaching courses annually, advise students, conduct research, and participate in university service and leadership. Hire Date:

Compensation: $68,640 to $125,460 is the annual salary for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, APU offers a competitive benefits package.
