$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Summary: The Executive Director has primary responsibility for the operational duties of the church, including shepherding and leadership development in Finance, Technology, Facilities, Legal, and Human Resources. 40 hours, Exempt Key Responsibilities
Lead segments of the Central Services Team to serve Bethany’s congregation and staff. Oversee Central Services of Finance, Technology, Administration, Facilities, and Human Resource Operations. Manage the finances and financial strategy of Bethany community church and lead annual budgeting process and monthly review. Persistently instill a focus on the congregation. Lead Central Services to creatively serve both staff and the congregation. Instill ownership, empowerment, continuous improvement and accountability in the team culture. Manage Bethany’s relationship with professional services. Identify when Bethany is best supported by external professional services. Manage existing relationships with attorneys, accountants, and Human Resources contractors. Evaluate and onboard new professional services as necessary. Maintain Bethany’s policies and risk management protocols. Evaluate and implement risk management protocols as necessary, including any insurance needs. Ensure Bethany is following all proper compliance standards. Oversee Bethany locations as assigned. Ensure the health of a Bethany location(s), locally and contextually. Be present within the location community, leading as necessary. Participate in Senior Leadership Team projects and responsibilities. Provide executive staff oversight for the Council Finance and Governance committees. Regularly participate in all Bethany ministries. Engage in strategic planning and organizational design for the future of Bethany. Provide positive contributions to a staff culture that increasingly embodies excellence and the ethics of servant leadership demonstrated by Christ. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Approaches daily life and work in a way that makes God’s Kingdom visible. An experienced leader passionate about growing the Kingdom. In-depth experience in strategic thinking and integration of the church’s mission and business affairs. Superior verbal and written communication skills; able to give and receive information efficiently. Demonstrated skills in assessing needs, casting vision, mobilizing teams, supporting other leaders, and collaborating with senior leaders. A passionate self-starter, well organized, and able to enable and empower others. Makes a positive contribution to a staff culture that increasingly embodies excellence and the ethics of servant leadership demonstrated by Christ. Energized by and passionate about Bethany’s mission, vision, and multi-location ministry philosophy and engaged in worship at Bethany location(s). An understanding of other churches' practices and operations. A working knowledge and experience with strategic financing, contracts, communications, technology, facilities, human resources, and church expansion. SPECIFICATIONS
Work Schedule: 40 /hrs week, typically Sunday-Thursday. Physical Demands:
Must be able to work in an office environment, often at a computer. Must be able to move between buildings. Must be able to lift small boxes and/or equipment up to 25lbs. Working Conditions:
Due to seasonal activity, job duties may often require additional hours and availability outside normal working hours. May require flexibility to adjust work schedule from time to time to work earlier or later than regular schedule. The office environment is fast-paced and may be considered stressful. Must be able to adapt your approach and priorities in real-time based on shifting demands. Compensation:
