is seeking an
Of Counsel Attorney
to support a growing caseload in
complex business and real estate litigation . This flexible,
hybrid opportunity
is ideal for a
solo practitioner or experienced litigator
with their own book of business who is open to taking on
as-needed work , averaging
10–20 hours per week , depending on case flow. Our firm operates with a lean, high-performing team and handles sophisticated matters requiring sharp litigation instincts and practical strategy. We're looking for a professional who can seamlessly integrate into a collaborative environment and offer dependable, high-quality support on impactful, often nuanced disputes involving commercial and property interests. Key Details: Location:
Asheville/Buncombe County (Hybrid: remote with occasional in-person court or meeting requirements)
Time Commitment:
Flexible, based on caseload; average 10–20 hours/week
Compensation:
Percentage of billables (to be negotiated with the Managing Attorney); target billable rates range from
$300–$400/hr
Bar Admission:
Must be
licensed and in good standing with the North Carolina Bar
Practice Areas (Litigation-Focused Only): Real estate litigation
(title disputes, partition actions, easements, boundary conflicts)
Business and commercial litigation
(contract disputes, business divorces, fiduciary matters)
Bankruptcy-related litigation
(adversary proceedings, creditor-side disputes)
Ideal Candidate: A
North Carolina-licensed attorney
with 5+ years of litigation experience
Maintains an active solo practice or book of business and is looking to supplement with high-quality, complex litigation work
Comfortable managing cases independently while collaborating with firm attorneys as needed
Strong legal writing, advocacy, and strategic case management skills
Professional, responsive, and committed to delivering high-level service to sophisticated clients
