Job Title: Fixed Asset Accounting Manager Location: 100% Onsite Santa Clara, CA Work Schedule: Full Time Monday-Friday (Overtime is not expected but could be possible based upon business needs and will occur only when requested and approved by the manager) Travel Requirements: None Duration: 05 Months (Estimated Start: 05-May-2025, Estimated End: 31-Oct-2025) PR Range: $80/hr - $83/hr on w2)
Job Description: We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Fixed Asset Accounting Manager for a contract role to support our finance team during a period of high activity and system transitions. This role will focus on fixed asset accounting processes, including asset capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the fixed asset accounting function, including asset capitalization, transfers, depreciation, impairments, and retirements. Reconcile the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger every month. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, FP&A, IT, Procurement) to track and validate asset activity. Prepare and maintain audit-ready fixed asset documentation, including supporting IPEs and roll-forwards. Assist with internal and external audits, including SOX compliance and Quarter-end reporting. Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS as applicable). Other duties and special projects as requested by management.
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Experience: 5 years of fixed asset accounting experience or in a closely related and highly relevant field. Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting principles and capital project tracking. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite); experience with fixed asset modules is preferred. Strong Google Apps, Microsoft Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, data validation). Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities. Experience in a publicly traded company or SOX-compliant environment. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Strong analytical skills.
