Position Summary: Teach vocal music and serve as accompanist for the music rehearsals for the annual school musical performances.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Musical Director and other play staff to teach vocal music for the annual spring musical.
- Teach all vocal music__-solos/small, group/ensemble, melody/counterpoint/harmonies.
- Must be able to serve as accompanist (piano) for all music rehearsals.
- Ability to determine and make appropriate modifications to harmonies as necessary to showcase the best possible product from the student cast.
- Coordinate with the Musical Director and Pit Conductor for tempos, cuts, and/or transpositions required for the production.
- Teach student performers and hold practices/rehearsals to prepare for school and public performances.
- Assist the Musical Director with auditions and callbacks. Help determine students' vocal ranges.
- Assist Musical Director with selecting the cast.
- Supervise cast during music rehearsals.
- Emphasize professionalism and quality in all aspects of the production.
- Encourage cooperation and respect among the cast.

Federal Criminal History Record Check (Act 114 )
