Base pay range $45.00/hr - $55.00/hr Direct message the job poster from Chesapeake Search Partners Search Consultant at Chesapeake Search Partners CSP is partnering with our client in the search for a Contract HR Business Partner to cover a maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a mission-driven team and make an immediate impact. The contract will run for approximately three to four months, with the potential for a full-time opportunity. Location: Hybrid; On-site in Baltimore, MD (Tuesdays through Thursdays); Remote Mondays and Fridays Duration: 3–4 months (potential to convert to permanent) Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day HR support and leadership across core functional areas. Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee and manager HR inquiries. Navigate complex, sensitive HR issues with professionalism and discretion. Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies. Lead or support employee relations matters, including investigations and terminations. Assist in performance management processes and related documentation. Help manage HR systems, primarily BambooHR. Support employee engagement and retention initiatives. Lead or contribute to HR projects and strategic initiatives. Assist with the development, revision, and implementation of HR policies. Research trends in compensation, benefits, and employee recognition. Maintain and update job descriptions and employee classifications. Qualifications: 3+ years of relevant HR experience, ideally in a generalist or HRBP capacity. Prior experience managing or supporting employee benefits. Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations; global exposure is a plus. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. High level of initiative, resourcefulness, and follow-through. Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
