Title: Associate Staff, Critical Care Intensivists

Duties: The Associate Staff, Critical Care Intensivist at Cleveland Clinics Department of Intensive Care and Resuscitation within the Anesthesiology Institute (9500 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44195) provides comprehensive clinical care to critically ill patients, specializing in treatment of patients who have undergone abdominal and cardiothoracic organ transplants, including liver, heart, and lung transplants, and are on ventricular assist devices. He or she works within a critical care team model comprised of residents, fellows, acute care nurse practitioners, and physician assistants administering direct care to hospitalized patients and examining, diagnosing, and treating critically ill patients in the medical and surgical intensive care units. In addition to clinical responsibilities, he or she will conduct research in the field of critical care medicine, and will confer with and inform medical trainees and other medical staff members regarding types and methods of anesthesia and treatment administration. This position involves variable shifts (day, night, weekend and holidays), as well as on-call responsibilities.
Requirements: At minimum, the position requires an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent as determined by a credentials evaluation or as evidenced by an ECFMG certificate; completion of a Residency in Anesthesiology; completion of a Fellowship in Liver Transplant and Hepatobiliary Anesthesia or Liver Transplantation Anesthesiology; and Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine, and eligibility for Ohio medical licensure.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience ($467,750/year).
