Locum Tenens Hospitalist
for full-time coverage at a 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital in Danbury, CT, beginning as soon as possible. We're seeking a provider who is passionate about adult inpatient rehab medicine and eager to collaborate with a high-performing, interdisciplinary team Monday-Friday. Facility Size:
40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital
Role:
Admissions, daily rounding, discharge planning
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, full-time days (no weekend call), 8a - 5p
Start Date:
ASAP - ongoing
Support:
Robust therapy and nursing teams, strong administrative resources
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive inpatient rehab care: admissions, daily progress notes, discharge summaries
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate patient goals of care
Communicate regularly with consulting specialists and primary care providers
Ensure adherence to evidence-based rehabilitation protocols and patient-safety standards
Provider Requirements
License:
Active (or easily obtainable) Connecticut medical license & current DEA
Board Status:
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Experience:
Inpatient rehab or hospitalist background strongly preferred
Certifications:
BLS & ACLS
