The Gloucester Marine Terminal is operated by Gloucester Terminals LLC and offers stevedoring and break bulk services. The terminal, located in the Port of Philadelphia, has direct access to highways as well as three rail lines that transit across the United States and Canada, providing unrivaled turnaround times for our partners.
Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor directly oversees a growing labor force and all front-line warehouse operations while also being able to perform the essential job functions of a warehouseman. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and is accountable for staff efficiency and performance, while ensuring adherence to company standards and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Trains warehouse personnel in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safe work practices
- Manages inventory, counts, and audits of all warehouse products
- Liaises with shipping office, drivers, customers, and warehouse personnel to ensure process efficiency
- Confers with other warehouse supervisors and managers to coordinate activities within the warehouse
- Updates warehouse manager on daily activities
- Maintains warehouse storage area by organizing floor space and maximizing workflow
- Practices OSHA standards and ensures that all safety procedures are followed
Essential Job Functions:
- Identifying damaged goods that have been brought into the warehouse and removing as necessary
- Identifying damaged boxes brought into the warehouse and repackaging as necessary
- Able to lift 50+ pounds
Preferred, but not necessary:
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Experience handling container cargo (i.e. jockey truck, yard truck, top pick, etc.)
- Completing pre-shift inspection on Jockey truck including bending, walking, grasping.
- Driving truck with materials from dock to storage area.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to closely supervise and motivate personnel
- Knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations preferred
- Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
- Ability to obtain Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
Work Conditions:
This position is in a refrigerated warehouse facility and involves exposure to widely varying temperature ranges, as well as to all environmental weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.). Additionally, extended periods of walking and/or standing are required.
