Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Hesston, KS. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be a reliable and motivated Manufacturing Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic assembly, the ability to read a tape measure and prints, and experience using hand tools. As a Manufacturing Assistant, you will support the assembly process, operate machinery such as the band saw, and assist with organizing, pulling parts, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.
Duties:
- Read and interpret prints and tape measures to assist in assembly and manufacturing tasks.
- Operate the band saw safely and effectively for cutting parts.
- Pull and organize parts for assembly and production.
- Assist with basic assembly tasks as an assistant to skilled workers.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow directions and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Use hand tools effectively and safely as part of the production process.
- Maintain basic computer skills for any necessary tasks, such as data entry or simple modeling.
Requirements:
- Understanding of basic assembly processes and the ability to work as an assistant on builds.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and basic machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret prints and tape measurements accurately.
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with computer modeling is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in Weld or Machining preferred.
