Psychiatric Technician (Safety)
Monthly Salary: $5,673 – $7,249
Location: Atascadero
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

The Department of State Hospitals is seeking compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Technicians (Safety) to join our team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in promoting wellness, recovery, and psychiatric rehabilitation for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide behavioral and psychiatric nursing care under general supervision.
Implement principles of wellness and recovery in patient care.
Maintain safety and custody responsibilities as required.
Facilitate patient rehabilitation through knowledge, attitude, and performance.
Qualifications:
Valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPTE).
Applicants within four months of completing a BVNPTE-accredited Psychiatric Technician program may apply but must obtain licensure prior to appointment.
