You will provide resident-centered nursing care and vital daily living assistance while under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN). Your responsibilities will include ensuring age-appropriate care tailored to the physical and psychological needs of each resident as detailed in their care plans. You will be part of a dedicated nursing team, accountable for adhering to infection prevention and control protocols and using personal protective equipment correctly. You will assist with essential health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining vital signs, and offering psychological support and personal care. Assisting residents in mobility, whether in transferring, repositioning, or walking using proper techniques, will be a key part of your role, alongside providing passive exercises. You will also participate in meal preparation, foster a positive dining experience, and assist residents during meals, ensuring they remain hydrated and nourished. In addition, you will document interactions and care outcomes, report changes in residents' conditions, and support health and recreational programs to encourage resident engagement. Qualifications A high school graduate or GED is preferred, but not mandatory. Candidates should be at least 16 years old, with prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care being advantageous. You must hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing or complete state certification within four months of starting in the position, enrolling in the necessary training program. Ongoing competency testing and a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education annually are required to maintain certification. This position may classify as a Category II Driver, requiring a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, following our driving policy as requested by leadership.
