REQUIREMENTS: Fingerprint/background screening required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and student data systems (PowerSchool, Enrich, etc.). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data reporting. Ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage shifting priorities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. JOB DESCRIPTION:
The following statements of essential functions and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. These statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required of all personnel within this position. Actual duties and responsibilities may vary depending on building assignment and other factors determined with supervisor and/or building principal.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collect, maintain, and report student and staff data for Special Education, Gifted & Talented, MLs, 504, and McKinney-Vento programs. Prepare and submit all required state and federal reports, including data for Special Education (e.g., December Count, End-of-Year, Staff and Discipline) and Gifted Education reporting cycles. Review and verify the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), staff records, student files, and other program-specific reports. Audit and reconcile discrepancies in student data and documentation to ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations. Process incoming and departing student records for students receiving special services; update systems, files, and reports accordingly. Process all required documentation and forms related to student enrollment, placement, service changes, and program exits for Special Education and GT students. Serve as a liaison with community agencies and service providers; coordinate and communicate with these agencies as needed to support the transition and placement of students. Maintain confidentiality and security of student and staff information in accordance with FERPA and district policy. Coordinate with school-based teams, program coordinators, and administration to verify data accuracy. Monitor and resolve data errors and anomalies using district and state data systems. Provide support to district staff regarding data entry, timelines, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with the technology department to ensure accurate syncing of student information systems (e.g., PowerSchool, Enrich). Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure accurate staff qualification data for Special Education personnel for federal and state reporting. Assist in audits and monitoring processes related to Special Education and Gifted Services. Support ongoing improvements to data collection processes and system efficiencies. Other duties as assigned. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Office-based position with regular interaction with district and school staff. Must be able to sit for extended periods and work on a computer. Occasional travel between district buildings may be required. Must be able to manage confidential information in a secure and professional manner.
