A leading national bank has partnered with us as they’re seeking an experienced Team Lead C&I Portfolio Manager

to oversee a high-performing team supporting Mid-Corporate clients. This is an exciting opportunity to manage both people and portfolios, while working on complex commercial lending relationships across a range of industries. Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of 6 professionals (Portfolio Managers and Underwriters), ensuring strong credit quality and portfolio performance. Oversee underwriting and portfolio management for middle market / C&I transactions. Partner with Relationship Managers to support new business opportunities and renewals. Review and approve credit analyses, financial models, and risk ratings. Manage portfolio risk through proactive monitoring, client meetings, and early identification of potential issues. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and best practices for credit management. Experience requirements: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related fieldwith 7+ years of experience in C&I underwriting and portfolio management. Prior leadership or team management experience strongly preferred. In-depth knowledge of financial statement analysis, credit risk assessment, and loan structuring. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to develop and motivate team members. Credit trained is a plus.
