IT Business Analyst
Location : Minneapolis, MN
Salary : $103,605/year
What you will do: Responsible for translating business requirements to functional applications using the software development life cycle (SDLC) for projects in an Agile environment and understanding stakeholder needs and business issues to be addressed as related to internal IT needs. Specific duties include: Utilizing Agile methodology to develop acceptance criteria and create user stories; Analyzing information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of new systems or modifications, and documenting current and future state assessments; Performing discovery, analysis and documentation of business requirements, and collaborating with project, IT, and business management to ensure business objectives are achieved; Creating informative, actionable, and repeatable requirements and serving as subject matter expert in functional requirement elicitation; Coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for assigned UCare projects and assisting business users with UAT documentation deliverables (UAT Test Plan, UAT Test Results, and UAT Defect Log); Utilizing and promoting defined UCare Business Analysts standards, documentation, software tools, and best practices in order to achieve business needs; Collaborating with Project Sponsors, Owners, Team Members, Vendors and Subject Matter Experts in order to understand IT business problems that need to be solved and developing specifications and performance requirements; Analyzing and decomposing complex business requirements into functional and non-functional requirements, documenting and confirming business requirements, and translating information / research into non-technical language as necessary to effectively communicate across teams and stakeholders; Coordinating requirements and user stories with QA analysts; Developing use cases as key communication tools between business and technical teams, and initiating / facilitating communication and meetings with business and IT stakeholders; Utilizing workflows, charts, diagrams and performing gap analysis to more fully describe business issues; Preparing technical user manuals, system configuration documents and other technical reports; and Utilizing the following tools and technologies: SQL, Tableau, Microsoft Platform, Visio, Data Visualization, and Data Analytics. Position allows work from home anywhere in the United States. Headquarters located at 500 Stinson Blvd NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413. Position Requirements:
The position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or closely related field. The qualified candidate must have at least 2 years (24 months) of experience in an IT analyst position, product support position, or closely related occupation in the healthcare industry. The qualified candidate must also have at least 2 years (24 months) of experience with all of the following: (a) gathering, understanding, and documenting business needs and requirements; (b) translating business needs and requirements into non-technical language and actionable items/analytics; (c) performing in-depth analysis of business issues, problems, needs, and requirements and recommending solutions; (d) preparing system configuration documents and other technical reports; and (e) utilizing the following tools and technologies: SQL, Tableau, Microsoft Platform, Visio, Data Visualization, and Data Analytics. All experience may be gained concurrently.
