Overview
The School Bus Driver is responsible for safely operating a school bus on a set schedule, ensuring vehicle safety, maintaining order among students, and providing courteous service to passengers, parents, and school staff.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance issues, and keep the bus clean.
Pick up and drop off students safely, enforce bus discipline, and document behavioral issues.
Possession of a valid NYS CDL with P and S endorsements, knowledge of traffic laws, and ability to interact well with children.
Complete background checks, provide necessary documentation, and pass a free CDL training if needed.
Work hours are mornings (6:30-8:45 am) and afternoons (1:45-3:30 pm), with potential for increased hours.
