Family Support Organization of Passaic County , we believe in the power of peer support. We are looking for
two Family Support Partners
to join our team: - Full-Time Family Support Partner - Part-Time Bilingual Spanish Family Support Partner
(Must be fluent in English and Spanish) In this role, you will use your personal journey to
support, educate, and advocate
for other parents and caregivers facing similar challenges. You will be a voice of understanding, a guide through complex systems, and a source of strength for families navigating New Jersey’s children’s system of care. WHO SHOULD APPLY? This position is
ONLY for parents, guardians, or caregivers
who have personal experience raising a child with emotional, behavioral, mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or substance use challenges— past or present . Your lived experience is what makes you uniquely qualified to help other families on their journey. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Build supportive relationships with parents and guardians of children receiving services. Advocate for families at school IEPs, meetings, and service plan discussions. Help families navigate systems such as child welfare, mental health, juvenile justice, education, and developmental disabilities. Act as a referral resource, connecting families with essential services. Empower parents and caregivers to develop self-advocacy skills. Provide a family perspective to service providers and governmental agencies. Maintain written records as required. Travel throughout Passaic County, NJ, to meet families and attend meetings. WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY: Personal experience as a parent or guardian
navigating emotional, behavioral, developmental, or substance use challenges with a child. For the part-time position, you MUST be bilingual in English and Spanish. High school diploma or GED required. A
valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation
are required. WHAT WE OFFER: Full-Time Pay:
$39,500/year Part-Time Pay:
