Salary: $55,000 - $65,000, Grade: 21, Open Until Filled Job Summary:
Under the guidance of the T&C Manager, the Project Manager will review agreements, contracts, and legal documents accurately and efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met and information is correct. The role requires independence, sound judgment, and effective communication skills, including preparing detailed land use and title reports. The position may offer remote work options based on department needs and performance. Job Duties:
Apply principles of the Arizona Management System, participate in team huddles, and seek process improvements. Examine legal descriptions and plats to create parcels, verify ownership, update GIS databases, and document work. Lead project lifecycle management and coordinate requirements, deliverables, and timelines. In the absence of the T&C Manager, act as the primary contact for projects. Coordinate land transfers resulting from federal condemnation or eminent domain, including site inspections. Review legal descriptions and document transfers of parcels. Respond to inquiries about property locations and legal descriptions. Oversee land and title records, ensuring accuracy across over 9 million acres. Research and reconfigure parcel data as needed. Process applications for purchase, lease, permits, and rights of way. Define project goals, resolve conflicts, and develop policies and procedures. Serve as a primary contact for land planning and disposition. Inventory and digitize title records. Follow project management methodologies, monitor progress, and manage small projects. Utilize ArcGIS Pro for parcel digitization and mapping. Handle cancellations of leases, permits, and rights of way. Lead planning and project implementation. Research historical roads (RS2477). Perform other relevant duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge:
Land statutes, departmental policies, GIS systems, land research, legal terminology, project management, federal transactions, land records, legal descriptions, cadastral systems, ArcGIS Pro. Skills:
Strong communication, organization, teamwork, attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Salesforce, land legal descriptions, and mapping. Abilities:
Customer service, operational improvement, land record interpretation, legal description creation, data manipulation, geospatial analysis, and map creation. Preferences:
3-5 years of technical examining or title work, relevant degree or experience, 5 years of contract research experience. Pre-Employment Requirements:
