*AR/AP Clerk*
CORE is a commercial real estate agency located in downtown Portland, Maine. We are looking to add a full-time AR/AP Clerk to our team.
Specific background of a candidate is not as important as integrity, work ethic, and good energy. However, previous experience in similar role is a plus. Training available and tailored to a candidate’s skill level. This position is available immediately.
*Responsibilities:*
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Handling of financial transactions and record keeping * Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable * Reconciling bank statements * Researching and resolving account discrepancies
· Provide clerical support to the accounting department * Preparing financial statements and other reports as requested by management, * Being available and eager to take on new projects and tasks offered by other team members. * Able to assist with office administration as needed.
*Job Requirements:*
Candidate must be dependable, detail oriented, responsible, motivated and maintain a professional appearance. Candidate should have high energy and good organization skills. The candidate should be a fast learner who likes to grow his or her skill base as well as research independently.
1-3 years previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting or finance is preferred but not required. Experience with Microsoft Office is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or progress towards obtaining one.
The company places a strong emphasis on collaboration, communication, ability to work autonomously, time management and multitasking. Ideal candidate will keep an open line of communication with management and have the initiative to offer assistance beyond normal job duties.
