Join Our Team as a Food Service Coordinator! As a vital member of our team, the Food Service Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the efficient preparation and service of quality nutritious meals. You will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those we serve while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities: Maintain regular attendance and complete all required training and in-service certifications. Prepare appealing and nutritious meals according to our menu plan, making adjustments as necessary. Manage food inventory and assist the Dietary Coordinator with purchasing food items. Guide program staff on food safety, preparation, and storage to ensure high standards are met. Oversee kitchen cleanliness and order, adhering to regulatory standards. Understand residents' dietary preferences and needs to ensure satisfaction with meals. Provide a safe working environment by following safety protocols and reporting incidents promptly. Foster positive morale among staff by promoting teamwork and effective communication. Follow all applicable policies, state regulations, and Health Department food handling guidelines. Assist with departmental events and respond to emergencies according to training protocols. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED is required. Ability to pass health department sanitation classes, such as Serve Safe. Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to respect for all individuals. Proven problem-solving skills and dedication to excellent customer service. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Ability to complete all training and development requirements. Effective communication skills in various formats and basic computer proficiency.
