Quanex is looking for a Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift to join our team located in Statesville, North Carolina
We are seeking a skilled front-line leader, who has a direct impact on keeping employees safe and injury-free, influencing the profitability of the plant by managing labor, productivity, material flow, preventative maintenance, and control of scrap and rework for theiroperations.

3rd Shift: 10pm to 6:30am
What Success Looks Like:
- Be a key driver of the company’s safety culture.
- Assist in developing JHAs (Job Hazard Analysis) and training all teammates.
- Achieves divisional objectives and promotes teamwork by working with other peers, subordinates, and all levels of management.
- Effectively manage a team of 20 or more employees.
- Champions a culture of continuous improvement.
- Executes operational plans to meet departmental and plant goals in Safety, Quality, On-Time delivery, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- Identify, analyze and act to correct bottlenecks, product defect rates, safety hazards and maintenance problems.
- Counsel, motivate and instruct departmental personnel in machine operation and address concerns and morale through daily interaction.
- Proactively present ideas and information concisely and clearly in both oral and written form.
- Work effectively with peers and all levels of management to achieve divisional objectives and promote teamwork.
- Administer company policy fairly and consistently. Discipline employees when required as per company policy. Resolve employee conflicts fairly as they arise and make appropriate recommendations for hiring, termination, advancement and demotion of supervised employees.
- Maintain documentation to support all department activities.
- Ability to plan use of time and resources effectively and efficiently.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, team building, coaching and the ability to build a culture and motivate people is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical.
- Must be highly motivated and results oriented.
- Proven ability to assume ownership of the process and drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to flex schedule and work extended hours, as needed, depending on business needs
Your Credentials:
- 5-7 years of manufacturing and at least 3 years of supervisory experience
Salary Range: $64,000.00 to $80,000 with potential to earn an annual bonus.
