ICU nursing position at Rapid City Hospital, Monument Health 39 beds in mixed unit (MICU, SICU, CICU, TICU) Complex ICU patients including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma Patient ratios: RN 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 (acuity dependent) Epic experience required Comfortable working a 48hr/week contract Job Requirements
2 years of ICU experience preferred (excluding travel experience) Minimum one prior travel assignment required Travelers must live 100 miles away from any Monument Health facility Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing Experience with IV medications, hemodynamic lines, ventilator management, telemetry, and critical thinking skills Schedule Information
Weekend rotation: Every other No on-call schedule No RTO during holidays Approval of time off: Up to 7 days, must extend to accommodate a full 13-week contract No RTO during Sturgis Bike Rally (first 3 weeks in August) Unit Specific Information
CNA support: 1-2 Nurse Aides per unit Charge nurse: 2 CRNs oversee all ICUs Resource Nurse available, staffing dependent RT support: 24/7 Physicians: 3 Intensivists on days, 2 on nights + APP on nights Additional Details
