Overview
Evaluates test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results. Records and explains test results and completes test report. Applies conformance criteria to data sets for the purpose of comparison. Communicates project status and results as needed. Holds responsibility for defining test plan, report completion and accuracy, meeting of agreed deadlines, and managing project related activities. Examines customer samples and evaluate appropriate tests for each case with support. Communicates with internal/external customers to ensure proper evaluation. Understands and is able to explain specific test standards and product technology for scope of responsibility. Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job. Communicates with management and technical staff to provide suggestions for processes, and forms to improve accuracy and efficiencies. Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelors' degree in Chemistry, Forensic Science, Polymer Science, Biochemistry, Organic/Inorganic Chemistry, Material Science but not limited to these disciplines only. Experience with Infrared Analysis (IR), Thermogravimetry Analysis (TGA), and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) preferred. Experience with polymers preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality and exceptional customer service. Demonstrated ability to successfully partner with Engineering and other Laboratory Personnel to complete projects in a timely manner with high quality – even when remote. Highly effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers. Ability to use Microsoft Office suite is a must. What we offer:
Total Rewards : We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $52,900-60,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours). Learn More:
