Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist to join a leading comprehensive cancer treatment facility with locations in Waxahachie, TX, and Duncanville, TX. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to patient care by delivering high-quality radiation therapy treatments and play a crucial role in the treatment and management of cancer patients. This role will require the flexibility to work at both locations based on need.
Deliver Critical Cancer Treatment
As a Radiation Therapist, you will be an integral part of the cancer care team, providing essential radiation therapy treatments to patients. You will operate advanced technology, collaborate with experienced professionals, and provide compassionate care to those in need. This role requires a strong understanding of radiation oncology principles, technical expertise, and a commitment to patient safety and well-being.
Responsibilities: Accurately administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians. Perform daily quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment. Prepare patients for treatment, including providing clear explanations of procedures. Position patients correctly and accurately for treatment. Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the treatment process. Maintain accurate and detailed treatment records. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient treatment environment. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control guidelines. Provide compassionate and supportive care to patients and their families. Qualifications:
Certification: ARRT-T (Registered Radiologic Technologist - Radiation Therapist) certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist. Education: Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program. Licensure: BLS certification required. Why Join Us?
