Assistant Vice President, People and Culture- Human ResourcesJob SummaryThe Training & Recruiting Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing both the recruitment and training processes within United Way of Central Alabama. This includes creating and posting job descriptions on various platforms, candidate screening, participating in interviews and facilitating onboarding. Additionally, this role will conduct needs assessments for additional training, assist in designing, developing, conducting and evaluating training programs, including on-site and off-site training sessions.ResponsibilitiesAssists AVP of People on various HR tasksRecruits for all sites of Priority Veteran (temporary & direct hires)Manage temporary onboarding processRecruits for most community initiatives positionsAttends job fairsConducts weekly new employee orientationConducts and creates on-site and off-site internal trainings (Delivered via teams and in-person formats)Creates and conducts various trainings at on-site/off-site positions (Birmingham, Huntsville, Tuscaloosa, Montgomery, and Florida panhandle)Works with Director of Organizational Development and other leaders to create learning opportunities for staff and other productivity toolsMaintain training records such as rosters, completions, individual competenciesWorks collaboratively with the entire HR team on various projectsOffers staff development assistanceOther duties as assignedQualificationsKnowledge & SkillsMust be a quick learner with technology and willing to be a team player.OrganizedSelf-motivatedExcellent communicatorGreat presentation & organizational skillsMaintain a degree of integrity, demonstrate confidentialityDemonstrates confidence in communication & deliveryDemonstrates experience in public speaking, delivering training or communicating policy or proceduresEducationAt minimum of an associates degree in business or human resources or similar degreeExperience1-2 years of HR or related experience.Technical skills, proficient & proven in software such as UKG, Excel, Power Point, Canva, preferred.RequiredValid drivers license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.Working ConditionsNormal office environment with 5-10 percent travel. Some overnight travel could be required. Must be able to lift 15-30 lbs.
