The San Bernardino County Regional Parks Department has current openings for lifeguard positions at our park locations, which we need to fill for this upcoming swim season (May-September 2023).
Availability : Must be available to work varied schedules, including days, evenings (rare), weekends and holidays.
Positions are part-time (up to 39 hours/week).
Assignments and schedules are made based on the needs of the Parks Department.
These are seasonal positions working from May through September.
Certifications:
All applicants are required to provide Lifeguard, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) certifications valid through September 2022. All required certifications must be completed prior to the first day of employment.
Requirement description :Applicants must be at least sixteen (16) years of age. Note: An approved work permit will be required prior to the first day of employment if under the age of eighteen (18).
Applicants must possess or be in the process of obtaining an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or equivalent.
Applicants must possess or be in the process of obtaining CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) certifications.
Strong swimmer with experience in a swim facility. Candidates who have participated in aquatic sports encouraged.
Candidate with proficient bilingual capabilities encouraged; BR/hr. Those that do not have proficient bi-lingual capabilities will be subject to a reduced rate; BR/hr
