Description

The Company Driver is responsible for local delivery and pick-up of products and other requested items daily. They are also responsible for processing paperwork, cycle counting and maintaining warehouse inventory in a safe and organized manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Load and unload trucksDeliver finished goods locallyPickup and delivery of items required in everyday manufacturing processPickup and delivery for office personnel and managersComply with customer shipping requirementsDeliver paperwork from suppliers & customers to Warehouse SupervisorDrive safely and responsiblyBe courteous to customersBe responsible for first echelon maintenance of company delivery vehicle to include fluid levels, oil changes, tire serviceability and rotation, registration, inspection, and cleanlinessPrepare items for shipment and assist shipping clerk when neededScale and weigh products as neededWrap materials in preparation for deliveryDeliver outgoing mail to post office dailyCycle count and maintain inventory storageTransfer materials between warehousesUtilize six-sigma quality tools, when appropriate, to define, measure, analyze, improve and control processes and outcomes.Responsible to maintain & support processes, procedures & K.P.I.'s owned by your position.Review of all procedures related to your job per "HR LG 01 Training Matrix"Completion within time stated of all training required by Job Description in "HR LG 01 Training Matrix"Requirements

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Forklift operation.Friendly and co-operative disposition.Ability to maneuver small truck in confined spaces.Ability to work independently and under pressure doing several tasks simultaneously while setting priorities.QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent.Strong communication and organizational skills.Valid, clean NYS driver's license, class "D" or above.Forklift operator certification.WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Manufacturing & warehouse environments.Vehicle driving between company warehouses and on local roads including highwaysThe performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment.For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sit or stand as needed.Walking primarily on a level surface for periodically throughout the day.Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.Proper lifting techniques required.Ability and comfortability to work in small, confined spaces while following proper safety protocol.Ability to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Salary Description

$18.00-$22.00/Hr.
