Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer

Job Summary:We are seeking skilled and experienced CNC Mill Programmers. The successful candidate will create and implement CNC machining programs for various projects, perform first piece inspection, and pass knowledge onto machine operators. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mastercam software, programming, setting up and running projects.Responsibilities:- Design and develop CNC machining programs using Mastercam.- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.- Utilize calipers and micrometers to ensure accurate measurements.- Apply knowledge of GD&T to ensure precise and accurate machining.- Operate and troubleshoot milling machines.- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop and implement CNC machining programs.- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications.- Maintain accurate records of machining programs and processes.Desired Experience:- Prefer a minimum of 4 years of proven experience in CNC programming and machining in a precision metal manufacturing setting.- Strong understanding of mechanical knowledge and machining principles.- Experience with precision measuring instruments and ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.- Familiarity with GD&T and its applications in CNC machining.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Skills:- Proficiency in Mastercam.- Experience with precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers as well as schematics.- Knowledge of mechanical knowledge and machining principles.- Understanding of GD&T and its applications in CNC machining.- Experience with milling and other machines.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.It is the policy of Ferry Machine Corporation not to discriminate against any applicant for employment, or any employee because of age, color, sex, disability, national origin, race, religion, veteran status, or any other class protected by federal, state, and local laws.
