Web Administrator III: $6,000.00/month-$6,800.00/month*

Web Administrator IV: $6,825.00/month-$7,675.00/month*

Job Description Summary

Performs highly complex to advanced (senior level) web design and development work. Work involves coordinating web environment design, deployment, development, and maintenance activities. May supervise the work of others. May train others. Works under limited to minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Manager of the Application Development Department.

Essential Job Functions

Serves effectively as Web Administrator for the Web Administration area.Prepares graphics, text, and tables; and determines the size and arrangements of illustrative material and copy.Analyzes, evaluates, and makes recommendations concerning existing information technology/systems processes and the development of new procedures, standards, tools, and techniques.Designs and implements new or revised methods that effectively meet the needs of the agency.Analyzes web content for accessibility with Accessibility Coordinator.Recommends changes to make content accessible and remediates accessibility issues.Develops and maintains web applications.Develops, programs, manages, implements, and analyzes layout of Internet and Intranet pages for efficiency and effectiveness.Develops, programs, manages, implements, and maintains software solutions and systems integration projects to enhance Internet, intranet, and external portal communities.Determines operational, technical, and support requirements for the operation and maintenance of databases, text, and graphics.Recommends new programming technologies and assists with the integration of the technology into Internet and intranet environments.Assists in system requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation of web systems and infrastructures.Works with server team on implementation and migration of new and existing web environments.Assists with front-end development for new and existing applications.Assists project teams by providing input and recommendations for front-end application development.Tracks system usage.Confers with management, and advises on the status and progress of projects and processes.Assists in the application and implementation of Internet and intranet security.Maintains confidential and sensitive information.Ensures individual and team files (electronic and hard versions) are appropriately maintained and timely disposed of in accordance with the agency's records retention procedures and schedule.Maintains required certifications and licenses and meets the continuing education needs and requirements of the position to include, attending mandatory training courses.May be required to operate a state or personal vehicle for business purposes.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in Web Design, Web Development, or a related field.Work experience in web development, design, and coding using HTML, including CSS, XML, scripting, and templates:

Web Administrator III

- Seven years of relevant work experience.Web Administrator IV

- Nine years of relevant work experience.

Relevant education and experience can be substituted for each other on a year-for-year basis.Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience with using Adobe Creative Suite (Web Standard product), or equivalent.Previous experience with web site planning and documentation.Previous experience with the WCAG 2.0 or higher and web design best practices.Previous experience with the .NET Framework and SQL Server.Previous experience programming web-based applications using ASP.NET, C#, HTML, CSS, XML and JavaScript.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to Web Administration team.Knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration.Knowledge of the limitations and capabilities of computer systems and of techniques used in the design of Web applications.Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods.Skills in using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Access.Skills in use of internet, email, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software.Skills in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.Skills in the development of ASP.NET, C#, HTML, CSS, XML, and JavaScript applications.Skills in providing excellent customer service both internally and externally.Ability to design web pages.Ability to develop, analyze, and design system requirements and processes.Ability to schedule, test, and deploy web pages.Ability to utilize web design skills such as HTML, CSS, XML, and scripting.Ability to adhere to work schedules, follow procedures with respect to leave and submit accurate timesheets by prescribed deadlines.Ability to make mature, objective decisions and identify areas of potential problems.Ability to perform effectively and willingly when changes occur in scope and nature of the work and work environment.Ability to perform routine and non-routine work assignments accurately and on-time with little or no supervision.Ability to perform assigned duties and improve work habits and/or output.Ability to complete assigned work, on time, neatly and with infrequent errors.Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulations.Ability to provide prompt, courteous and accurate assistance and clear and concise communication to internal and external stakeholders both verbally and in writing.Ability to work and cooperate with others in a team environment.Ability to manage multiple tasks.Ability to stand/sit/move to perform activities such as retrieve/replace files in a large file system for boxes up to 30 lbs.Ability to operate a vehicle (state or personal) for state business and maintain a driver's license and driving record that complies with state and agency requirements.Ability to work shifts that may exceed 8 hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.Ability to train others.REMARKS
