Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing Financial Reporting, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Financial Planning, and Financial Controls. Ensure financial statements are presented in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Reports directly to the CFO, overseeing a team of 4 including an Accounting Manager.
Viable candidates must be willing to work onsite at GSI's headquarters in Palm Harbor, Florida daily.
Duties and Responsibilities:Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the finance team's organization, fiscal function and performance.Implement internal financial controls across the organization to ensure that transactions are recorded timely and accurately and to safeguard the company's assetsTrain and assess the department and conduct training for the team.Design/develop policies and procedures within the finance team and across the organization.Ensure monthly Financial Statement close on a timely basis in accordance with GAAPImplement ASC 606 Revenue Recognition standards under FASB for all contracts.Oversee the accrual method of all general ledger accountsEnsure bank accounts are reconciled monthlyPrepare and review Account Analyses, including prepaid expenses, deferred revenues, deferred costs, intangibles, fixed assets, etc.Oversee the annual financial statement auditOversee the Accounting ManagerOversee and manage bi-weekly and monthly payroll process for multiple companies.Benefit deductions for new hires and open enrollment periods.Administration of the company's 401K plan.Manage the Accounts Payable Team.Review and process payroll liabilities.Act as Liaison between Geographic Solutions and Payroll processing company.Assist in shared services as needed within the Finance Team.Oversee Financial Planning and Analysis to develop forecasts, projections and budgetsPerform variance analysis on key accountsHelp drive and assist financial reporting on KPI's with Sr. Data Analyst.Requirements
Work Experience / Knowledge:
Establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervisionKnowledge of the following computer software packages: QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Instant Messenger, and Paylocity.Ability to interface within all levels of the companyFinancial Management (Forecasting & Budgeting) and Business AcumenCommunication ProficiencyEthical Conduct including confidentiality of employment information, business transactions, and financial matters of the company.LeadershipPerformance ManagementPersonal Effectiveness/CredibilityProblem Solving/AnalysisStrategic ThinkingQualifications / Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is requiredCPA is desired, but not requiredExperience working in a technology company with ASC 606 is desired, but not required7-10 years of related experience preferably as a controller, director, or manager in a finance functionKnowledge of QuickBooks is highly desirable, but not requiredMust be a leader and a driver who can keep up with a fast-growing company.
