Job Details

The Business Development Officer (BDO) will drive new business, develop deposit relationships, and represent the bank in the community. Focusing on business customers with comprehensive banking needs, the BDO will promote the bank’s products and services, finding new clients through inbound leads, referrals, and networking. As the first point of contact, the BDO must embody the bank’s culture and provide excellent customer service while demonstrating strong banking knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the market.
  • Build a network of professional relationships and referral sources.
  • Maintain an active customer call program to attract new business.
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts and assist with administrative needs like account openings.
  • Present and promote bank products and services.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure smooth transaction processing and stay informed on competitor products.

Customer & Brand Focus:

  • Promote the bank through participation in community and networking events.
  • Assist in organizing local events and marketing efforts.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and be a cultural leader in the local market.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in building and growing client relationships.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of branch banking products and services (deposits, cash management, loans).
  • Ability to manage high-volume tasks and work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
