Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive legal advice to clients on matters related to estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related tax implications.
  2. Draft, review, and revise estate planning documents to ensure they are legally sound, accurate, and reflect the client's wishes.
  3. Develop and implement effective estate planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure the smooth transfer of assets.
  4. Stay abreast of current laws, regulations, and legal trends related to estate planning, tax law, and healthcare directives.
  5. Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to devise comprehensive estate plans.
  6. Represent clients in probate court proceedings, as necessary.
  7. Maintain high standards of confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive client information.
  8. Provide exceptional client service by maintaining regular communication, providing updates, and addressing any concerns or questions promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

  1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estate Planning Attorney or in a similar role in the legal industry.
  3. A valid license to practice law in the state.
  4. Extensive knowledge of tax law, wills, legal advice, document drafting, and healthcare directives.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  6. Superior oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  7. High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  8. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other professionals.
  9. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  10. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
