Salary: $225,000 - $315,000 per year

Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Trust and Estate Attorney to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning, probate, and trust administration, as well as experience with tax planning for high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and families.

The attorney will work closely with clients to develop and implement personalized estate plans, focusing on wealth preservation, tax efficiency, and long-term planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on all aspects of estate planning, including wills, trusts, charitable giving, and powers of attorney.
  • Draft estate planning documents and complex trust agreements.
  • Assist clients with probate and estate administration, including navigating probate court and managing estate assets.
  • Provide tax planning and asset protection strategies for high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners.
  • Conduct estate and trust litigation, when necessary, including will contests and disputes over trust management.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as corporate and real estate, to offer comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Stay updated on relevant tax laws and trust regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, offering top-tier client service and clear communication.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in the state of [Insert State].
  • 3+ of experience practicing in the areas of trusts and estates, with a focus on estate planning, trust administration, and tax planning.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, as they relate to estate planning and wealth transfer.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A commitment to client service and the ability to cultivate strong relationships with clients.
  • Experience with high-net-worth clients is preferred.
